Catalogue Note
“Blurring the lines of reality and fantasy, public and private, self and other, Upson demonstrates the ultimate fertility of our efforts to really know someone” (Ali Subotnick cited in: Exh. Cat., Los Angeles, Hammer Museum, Hammer Projects: Kaari Upson, 2007, n.p.).
