of ovoid form rising to a tall cylindrical neck with a lipped rim, supported on a splayed foot, the short tapered spout set opposite the ribbed handle, with a double line incised around the shoulder, covered overall in a vitreous cream-colored glaze, Japanese wood box (3)

Condition

In overall good condition, with only minor firing imperfections (a few burst glaze bubbles, small iron spots, and a small C-shaped glaze crack around a small lump in the body at the shoulder), and minor expected wear (some patches of tan abrasion to the glaze, frits to the edge of the handle and to the foot).
