  • Jade
comprising a pendant in the form of two conjoined cicadas, pierced through the mouths; a rectangular scabbard slide with an incurved end, the top incised with an abstract pattern, pierced at one end; and an archer's ring with a band of bosses around the center (3)

Provenance

Acquired in San Francisco in the 1950s-1960s, and thence by descent.

Condition

The pendant with some bruising, fine fissures, and expected surface wear. The scabbard in overall good condition but with a 2-mm chip to the top and minute nicks to the edges. The archer's ring in mostly good condition but with a shallow depression at one edge (length approx. 6 mm.), and an approx. 5-mm linear bruise elsewhere.
