each painted with an array of flowers borne on leafy stems, the pommel and cantle plates of gilt-metal cast to form confronted dragons in pursuit of 'Flaming Pearls', acrylic stand (4)

Condition

One saddle with the lacquer crack across the front and lifting along the sides as seen in catalogue illustration. It is likely that the protruding front tabs to the same saddle are later replacements. Both saddles most probably re-lacquered, the painting re-applied and the gilt refreshed. There are small scattered chips and losses overall particularly along the edges.The metal work has wear and small dents and with numerous of its decorative circular apertures each filled with an iron nail.
