comprised of a small white-glazed openwork 'deer, pine and monkey' brushpot; a globular white-glazed soft-paste, floral-molded waterpot, a quadrangular white crackle-glazed waterpot with clambering bat and chilong; an ovoid teadust-glazed waterpot and a deep bowl covered overall with a thick sky-blue glaze (5)
Provenance
Collection of Millicent Rogers (1902-1953), and thence by descent.
Condition
The brushpot is in overall good condition. The spherical brushpot has a crack through the base extending partially up the sides and there is a rim crack. The square waterpot with the head of the dragon off and restuck with glue. The teadust-glazed waterpot is in good condition. The jun-style bowl is misfired with a pitted surface, the interior is matte and suffused with a network of glaze cracks and there is a firing tear to the foot ring.
