of square section with notched corners, covered overall in a thick pale gray glaze suffused with a charcoal-gray and russet double craquelure, with a zitan cover relief carved with a shou medallion within a leiwen border (2)

Acquired between 1970-1979, (inventory no. P161).

Condition

In overall good condition with typical wear to the washer and cover. The washer with two old labels affixed, as well as kiln grit to the interior, scattered burst glaze bubbles, and four spur marks to the base. The glaze is a lighter ivory color than in the illustration in the catalog.
