the silk couched in gold-wrapped threads with eight five-clawed dragons surrounded by colorful ruyi clouds, bats, babao, and shou characters, all above lishui stripes and waves, bordered at the collar and chest with the same embroidered fabric, the sleeves trimmed with pale blue-green silk embroidered with scholarly and auspicious objects, lined with sage-green silk

Condition

The silk soft and supple and the embroidery mostly intact, with only minor fraying to the dragons. Faint patches of tan discoloration throughout, especially along the center of the front, the along the closure at the right arm, at the shoulders, and at the embroidered waves. Some minor bleeding of the colors at one of the embroidered mountains (possibly from water damage).
