possibly boxwood, carved to the exterior with an inscription reading renxin jinruci tianxia ziheping you Guanxiu ju (if everyone has the same heart, the world will be at peace, in respect to Guanxiu's verse), followed by a two-character seal reading tianfu (heavenly mansion)
Condition
In overall good condition with minor wear, pitting throughout. The edges with old minute nicks and faint abrasions, and an area of the interior with some varnish loss and faint scratches.
