each of flattened baluster form, relief carved overall with birds and flowers, the squared sides with two pairs of lion-mask handles suspending loose rings, one cover surmounted by a dragon and the other by a phoenix, the mottled stone of gray-green with streaks of apple green, with carved apocryphal Qianlong marks (4)
Condition
The dragon finial has a small bruise to the tip of one horn. Both vases with the base plate glued on. Otherwise, the pair of vases and covers are in overall good condition with some minute nicks to the edges and extremities and some natural flaws to the stone, as can be expected. The actual color of the stone is richer compared to the catalogue illustration.
