the flattened pear-form body raised on a splayed foot, rising to a long waisted neck and galleried mouth, with an arched handle on one side and a serpentine spout on the other connected to the neck with a figure-eight strut, the exterior covered in a rich iron-red glaze with gilded and incised decoration, the body with peacocks and peonies within a raised spade-form panel surrounded by a lotus meander, the neck with a wide leiwen band below stiff upright leaves and the foot encircled with ruyi and butterflies, the base with underglazed blue fu gui jia qi mark in a square

Condition
The handle with restoration to three breaks (top, base and mid-section) and restored finial. The strut has been reattached. and there is restoration to the top of the spout. The mouth rim with several small chips.The foot with adhered kiln grit. Overall with surface wear and firing imperfections with heavy wear to the gilding.
