Description

the bombé body rising from a short tapered foot to a flared rim, flanked by a pair of yoke handles, set with a small lug for attachment to a bird cage, covered overall with a crackled pale greenish-blue glaze, stopping neatly at the foot to reveal the gray stoneware body

Condition

The foot has a few minute chips and nicks, the largest measuring approx. 0.2 cm, two of which with a very faint associated crack, running approx. 0.1 cm before merging into the glaze crackles. Some minor wear to the surface and expected firing imperfections, including a few kiln grits to the interior, the largest measuring approx. 0.7 cm wide.
