the deep rounded sides rising from a short tapered foot, covered overall with a mottled brownish-black glaze, accentuated with raised iron-colored splashes to the interior, the rim and the foot left unglazed to reveal the buff-colored stoneware body

Condition

In overall good condition, except for an approx. 0.9 cm flake chip to the outer foot rim, possibly original to manufacture. Minor wear to the rim. Scattered firing imperfections, as can be expected.
