the gently rounded sides of the seats painted in brightly colored enamels with gilt details, the central section with a continuous scene of ladies and gentlemen at leisure, the registers above and below painted with scattered flowers, fruits, and the 'Hundred Antiques,' the top repeating the two motifs in concentric medallions around a pierced coin at the center, two pierced interlocking coins on each side of the seat (2)

Condition

Both seats with minor firing imperfections and expected wear to the footring and surface (including minor wear to the enamels and gilding). One stool with two hairline cracks to the body (longest approx. 28 cm) and a chip to one of the pierced coins on the side. The other stool with a chip to one of the studs.
