the rectangular top comprised of two boards set within a mitered frame of standard construction, the molded edge frame above a frieze enclosing five drawers to either long side, all supported on two rectangular pedestals with square section frames enclosing two-door cabinets on either side, each with an interior drawer across the top, the square section legs joined at the base by plain spandreled aprons, the huangtong mounts incised with confronting dragon motifs (3)

Condition

The desk is in overall good condition. There is a long patch repair to the top due to shrinkage. The interior cabinet bases with some filled circular apertures; one open. Some sections of the metal mounts are loose and missing. There is wear to the surface which is a bit dry but all consistent with age and use. Please note that this lot will require a CITES permit for export outside of the United States.
