each comprised of cylindrical members, the straight crestrail extending over the side posts, the central splat with tripartite decoration of a beaded-edge circular aperture, a rectangular inlaid huamu panel and a beaded ogival panel above the rectangular molded-edge soft-matted seat frame, all supported on legs reinforced with shaped braces to the seat frame and joined by stretchers of ascending height (4)

Collection of a Sonoma, California Estate.

Condition

The chairs are in overall good condition. There has been some light consolidation and minor repairs. The surface with some discoloration, evident on the braces supporting the seat frame and the legs, from earlier cleaning and staining. There is wear overall consistent with use.
