the compressed globular body supported by a splayed foot and rising to a waisted cylindrical neck, painted with a pair of dragons pursuing a flaming pearl amidst ruyi clouds above a band of lappets, the shoulder with shou characters and lotus meander, the neck with the bajixiang in two rows below a band of ruyi encircling the mouth, the base with gilt apocryphal Kangxi mark within a roundel of painted dragons

Condition

The vase with a loss to the rim (approx. 1.5 x 5 cm), multiple hairline cracks at the rim and upper neck (longest approx. 10.5 cm), and some wear to the gilding throughout (as illustrated in the catalog).
