of rectangular form, enclosing two long drawers secured with a rectangular metal lockplate with sliding fastener, further metal mounts of quatrefoil escutcheons for drawer pulls and bail handles set to either side of the box, ruyi-form mounts to the top and strap-metal mounts to the reinforce the sides

Condition
The case has replaced metal mounts. There are small filled holes to a panel indicating the use of re-used timber. The central metal mount at the top implies that the case may have been used as a support. There is general consolidation, minor repairs and wear consistent with age and use. Please note that this lot will require a CITES permit for export outside of the United States.
