of cylindrical form, the exterior finely carved with a continuous scene of lakeside pavilions amid trees and mountains, a lone fisherman rowing a skiff as birds fly in formation overhead, the underside of the foot ring unglazed, the recessed base carved with a seal reading Wang Bingrong zuo

Condition

The brushpot in overall good condition with only minor expected surface wear (a few fine scratches to the glaze and minute shallow frits to the rim), a couple small glaze gaps to the rim (approx. 3 mm or smaller), and signs of light use to the interior well (e.g., ink residue).
