A lord, holding a gold vina and seated on a jeweled throne under a parasol, listens attentively to an bearded musician perform Sri Raga.  The music conveying a mood of majesty, contemplation and meditation. An attendant waves a chowrie (flywhisk) and holds the lord's sheathed sword - both symbols of royal authority.
