  • Grey schist
the panel with upper border in chevron pattern, with two Corinthian columns adorned with images of seated Buddha, with multiple attendant figures in draped sanghatis, some with turbans and elaborate hairstyles, the Buddha seated at center right on a low rectangular platform, with left hand in the lap and right hand raised in abhaya mudra

Acquired in Pakistan between 1961-1969.

Condition

Wear, accretion, losses, and surface abrasions throughout. Scattered losses to faces, hands and some body parts throughout, including face and torso of seated Buddha. Fragmentary, as viewed.
