Condition

The surfaces are tarnished and there are signs of use to the interior. One of the flanges on one cover appears to have been reattached otherwise both covers appear to be in good overall condition with the expected irregularities to the inlay for pieces of this type. On both censers there are losses to some of the inlay around the side of the wide lip. Some of the appliques and one corner bracket each on the wide lip surrounding the covers are detached. Some of the corner brackets have been reattached. There are signs of encrustation in some of the crevices and around the legs. The plaques on both censers appear to have been reattached with adhesive. One chilong plaque on one censer appears to be cracked. On the other censer with the fu character plaques, there are cracks to four plaques and minute chips.
