of rectangular section, the baluster-form body rising from a splayed foot to a waisted neck and flared mouth, flanked by a pair of mythical beast handles, the neck with cicada-form lappets rising from a band of stylized figures against a leiwen ground, the shoulder with pairs of coiled dragons in thread relief tumbling between two line borders, the belly with a taotie mask over a leiwen ground and dangling cicada-shaped lappets, the foot with a pair of kuilong over leiwen

Condition

In overall fair condition with expected surface wear to the patina and some white corrosion products and old consolidant at the lower body (as illustrated in the catalog). Two rusted iron nails to the interior, and a small spot of white house paint to the exterior (easily removable).
