with a sloping, slightly concave top featuring a floral spray in a quatre-lobe medallion, the slip surrounding the spray carved away to reveal buff pottery, covered in a clear glaze stopping short of the flat base

Condition

The pillow with minor chips to the base, expected wear to the glaze, and glaze restoration to the borders of the top surface and to the stems of the lilies. Manufacturing flaws include gaps in the glaze (especially at the sides of the top surface, as illustrated in the catalog), a few thin firing lines (longest is at top, approx. 2 cm), and areas of glaze fired to gray.
