Ruby and diamond pendent necklace/brooches, 1950s

Designed as a shirt-collar, set with cabochon rubies and bordered with baguette and brilliant-cut diamonds, the front suspending a similarly set fan-shaped pendant, to a baguette-cut diamond-set necklace, inner circumference approximately 325mm, converts into three clip brooches.

Diamonds estimated colour I-K, estimated clarity SI on average. Estimated total diamond weight of brilliant-cuts approximately 38.0 - 42.0 carats, where the largest one is approximately 0.9-1.0 carats. Estimated total diamond weight of baguette-cut approximately 16.0-20.0 carats, the largest one approximately 0.14 carats. Rubies estimated carat weight on averge 0.35-0.40, estimated total ruby weight approximately 60.0-69.0 carats. Rubies are mid to dark red, with typical inclusions visible under magnification, some are visible to the naked eye, some inclusions are surface reaching, rubies with chips and rubbed surfaces. One of the ruby links is disconnected. Metal with normal signs of wear, some scratching. Clasp closes securely. Necklace is easy to take apart and in good working order. Brooch fittings with tight tension. Pendent length measuring approximately 51mm, width approximately 48mm. Overall condition good.
