the figure of the saint painted on metal in jewelled robes and holding an Orthodox cross, applied silver halo, the frame of finely textured reeds with raised bead brackets, the corners set with cabochon sapphires, struck K.Fabergé in Cyrillic beneath the Imperial Warrant, 84 standard, scratched inventory number 33044
Condition
The silver in excellent condition, the painted icon with surface blemishes and tiny losses visible in the catalogue photo, the wood back drilled with picture wire hooks, the lower corners with adhesive residue. The back with Russian export permission stamp. The pins replaced.
