  • height of cups 6.6cm, 2 3/8 in.; diameter of saucers 14.3cm, 5 5/8 in.
painted after the design by Sergei Chekhonin, with flowers and fruit on white grounds with black borders, all with blue hammer and sickle dated 1922 (one 1921), green Imperial cyphers for Alexander III and Nicholas II and various pattern numbers

Condition

Excellent condition, one saucer with a repaired chip to the base. Please note that the lot comes with a written expertise from Dr. Ekaterina Khmelnitskaya, Curator of the Department of Russian Culture at the State Hermitage Museum.
