Description

the surface enamelled in translucent royal blue over banded wavy engine-turning applied with neoclassical foliate trails, the chased leaf frame with rosette corners, surmounted with a gold ribbon-tied quiver and torch trophy, the bead-framed aperture enclosing a white glass panel graded in Réaumur scale, toupee feet, ivory back, silver-gilt scroll strut, struck with workmaster's initials and Fabergé in Cyrillic, 56 and 88 standards, scratched number 1257

Condition

The enamel in very good condition, with some surface scratches, the mounts crisp and intact, the ivory back with losses at two corners and the bottom, two screws lacking.
