Description

the rectangular panel carved of white chalcedony, the aperture within raised opaque white enamel stripes set with cabochon rubies below four-colour gold floral festoons hung from rose-cut diamonds, ribbon and diamond surmount, mother of pearl back, silver-gilt scroll strut and pendant ring, struck with workmaster's initials, 88 standard, scratched inventory number 14351, in original wood case

Condition

A break at each side of the stone, visible in the catalogue photo, the surmount has been off and reattached.
