Description

  • birch wood, gold, silk, green chrysoprase
  • width 10.3cm, 4in.
carved with reeded sunbursts, the hinged lid centred with a cabochon emerald, the base with a sapphire, in hammered gold mounts, gold thumbpiece, with vesta compartment, tinder cord and striker, unmarked

Condition

Excellent condition. The vesta compartment lid just slightly warping. The tinder cord lacking its hook.
