Condition
The support is affixed to another slightly wider panel. There are abrasions along all four edges, with paint losses in places and small losses to the support visible along the right edge. Running across the shoulder of the sitter in the centre is a crack in the paint layer running horizontally across the composition. There is a very fine pattern of craquelure visible in places. There is a tiny and shallow puncture next to the signature in the lower right. The surface is covered in a light layer of dirt. Inspection under UV light reveals no obvious signs of retouching. Held in a painted wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
