Condition
Original canvas. Stretcher bar marks are visible along the edges and running vertically through the composition. There is a vertical scratch of approximately 16cm from the centre of the top edge. There are surface abrasions throughout but particularly to the areas of black along the edges. There is craquelure in places and paint shrinkage is present throughout. Some scattered flecks of paint loss are visible in places. Inspection under UV light reveals retouching to the aforementioned scratch. Held in a black and silver tray frame. Unexamined out of frame.
