Catalogue Note

The present set designs were executed for scenes 3 and 6 of Kasymovshchina which premiered at the State Uzbek Dramatic Theatre of Akhun-Babaev in Andizhan in 1933. Dyu-Bis, which appears in the artist's stamp in the top left corners, was Uzhinsky's pseudonym.
