  • approximately 365 by 256cm; 11ft. 9in., 8ft. 4in.

Condition

Overall measurements; 251cm across the top, 256cm across the bottom, 365cm the left hand side, 362cm the right hand side. Pile dense, closely clipped, generally approximately 2mm depth, minute tension spots in field, very minute amounts of pinkish discolouration in the ivory ground. Minute repiled fold line half way up right side approximately 11cm in length on the palmette projecting from the medallion on right hand side. There is an extremely well executed replaced section found to the upper left hand side of medallion, extending into the medallion. It can only be seen under very close examination, the execution of this repair may have been contemporaneous with the carpet, and is stepped and measures approx. 60cm at widest and longest points. Photographs of this section can be requested via the department. lovely glossy, velvety kurk wool, robust handle. very outermost narrow dark beige guard edges trimmed on sides and ends, rebound sidecords. Lovely example. Ready to use.
