Condition

Overall measurements: 164 across the top, 163cm across the bottom, left side 407cm , right side 406cm Silk wefts. Very lustrous wool. Pile generally evenly sheared 1-2mm overall. Some scattered spot areas where knotbars just beginning to show themselves; visible when looking up the pile, not when looking down the pile. One small dark stain (6th row up from the bottom, and 2 in from the right). Red dye is a little loose, typical of this group, and there is some evidence of colour run on the reverse, in the lower 6th of the field. Original side cords, narrow dark blue pile surround, warp fringing turned back and stitched. Incredibly soft flexible handle with glowing colour. Fantastic quality.
