Condition
Overall measurements; 277cm across the top, 281cm across the bottom, 330cm the left hand side, 329cm the right hand side.
Overall in very good condition. Pile varies from 1-2mm up to 3-4mm, lower pile consistently in the dark brown areas which are partially oxidised. Dense woven glossy wool. Minor restoration to lower left hand outer red guard border. Fringes trimmed with old herringbone cotton tape to the reverse of all four edges.
A really charming carpet with beautifully balanced colour. With a design derived from the classical 'Tree' carpets of 17th century Persia.
