  • textile approximately 83 by 50cm; 2ft. 7in., 1ft. 6in.

Condition

Textile 83 by 50cm, Mounted on a black textile covered later stretcher 88 by 57cm. Comprised of two vertically joined fragments, as visible from the photograph. Lower section right hand panel comprised of five smaller sections. Losses to gilt-metal overall. Some discolouration to velvet pile, especially top right and centre right hand edge. Vertical join in distressed condition, possibly previously internal seam. Some consolidation as visible from bottom and top left corners, and smaller minor areas scattered throughout. Cut on all edges. Some surface stains and later possibly machine stitching/consolidation as visible from the photograph lower edge of right panel.
