  • approximately 545 by 237cm; 17ft. 11in., 7ft. 9in.

Condition

Overall measurements; 232cm across the top, 237cm across the bottom, 543cm the left hand side, 545cm the right hand side. Pile generally low, down to knotbars and foundation. Replaced section approx 17 by 219cm vertically from the centre of the lower border, not including the lower border. There is a vertical split 23cm long extending from the middle of the lower border into the field. Re-piled areas throughout. Centre of top right quadrant there is an area of wear down to foundation, approximately 8 by 13cm, as visible from the photograph as a white/cream area. Some scattered splits and patches throughout. Original flatweaves at both ends with fringing, with losses and later areas. First hand inspection advised. A good early carpet, condition reflected in the estimate.
