Description

  • wool, pile
  • approximately 202 by 134cm; 6ft. 8in., 4ft. 5in.

Provenance

Property from the Estate of Lee Howard Beshar, Sotheby's New York, September 13, 1995, lot 66

Condition

Overall measurements; 134cm across the top, 134cm across the bottom, 202cm the left hand side, 202cm the right hand side. Pile very thick 1cm. Very good condition overall. Original end finishes with some minor amateur repairs to end finishes at corners. Repaired split, approx 20cm in length in lower left hand corner of field, not visible from face of rug due to thickness of pile. Some losses to side cord wrapping. A good example of type. Would probably benefit from a clean otherwise ready to use.
