the pebble modelled in the form of a recumbent phoenix, its crowned head turned sharply backwards and its legs tucked underneath the body, grasping a leafy spray of peony in its beak, the body finely detailed with neatly combed plumage, the stone of a pale celadon tone suffused with caramel-russet inclusions

Condition

The figure is in overall good condition. There are expected minute nicks to the raised edges, the most prominent to a twig below the peony.
