Description

  • jade
of circular form, the cover deftly incised and gilt-decorated with two sprays of peonies and a butterfly hovering above, all enclosed within a key-fret border, the smoothly polished stone of a pale celadon colour

Condition

There are general minor nicks and light bruises along the rims of the box and cover. Despite some minor losses, the gilding to the top of the cover is predominantly well preserved.
