Etching with drypoint, 1639, a fine impression of New Hollstein's fourth state (of five), printing with great clarity and contrasts, on paper with a Bunch of Grapes watermark with Countermark
Condition
Trimmed on the plate mark at top, left and right, trimmed approx. 9mm into blank area at lower sheet edge, retaining a fillet of blank paper around the borderline on all sides, in good condition apart from a small made up area at lower right corner, extending 3 by 2 mm into subject, skilfully touched in with pen and ink, unframed. (A short printer's crease lower left).
