Engraving, circa 1480, a good impression of Hollstein's fifth state (of six); with The Martyrdom of St. Catherine and The Martyrdom of St. Barbara by The Master MZ (B. VI 374.8 and VI 375.9), both circa 1500, clear but slightly later impressions, the former on paper with an unidentified watermark, the latter on paper with a Bunch of Grapes (?) watermark

Condition

Ecce Homo: With narrow margins, in good condition apart from a short diagonal tear at upper right sheet edge, some areas of slight paper thinning and a couple of small, pale stains in the heads of the crowd (mostly visible when held up to the light) some small stains in the crowd, a few old creases (visible verso), unframed. The Martyrdom of St Catherine: Trimmed on the borderline, a short backed tear and further small backed tears and losses at the edges with associated thinning, some pale staining particularly around the protagonists, the verso with remnants of glue at sheet edges, (two unobtrusive horizontal printer's creases at left side), unframed. The Martyrdom of St. Barbara: With wide margins, in good condition apart from a slight vertical break in the left margin, a tiny surface loss above the chalice, pale spotting in the margins, a thin spot and an old diagonal crease in the right margin, unframed.
