Etching, engraving and drypoint, circa 1658, a good impression of the sixth (final) state, New Hollstein's eighth state (of nine), after the plate was cut down, on tissue-thin laid Japan paper

Condition

With narrow to thread margins, in good condition, a few pencil inscriptions verso showing through faintly in the unprinted area below the image recto, remains of previous hinging at three corners verso and the sheet taped to the mount in two places at the left sheet edge verso, unframed.
