Condition

This gelatin silver print, on matte-surface paper, is in overall excellent condition. There are a few deposits of original retouching visible under raking light. At the edge of the lower right margin, there is a faint rust-colored stain that is primarily only visible on the reverse. There is graphite transference in the margins from the mat. 'I:HPH-S17,' 'LISA (FONSSAGRIVES-PENN) PARIS 1939,' and '(SILVER)' are written in an unidentified hand in pencil on the reverse.
