Description

  • 'Pepper'
  • gelatin silver print
mounted, signed, titled, dated, and annotated '30P' in pencil and stamped by Cole Weston on the reverse, framed, 1930, printed posthumously by Cole Weston

Condition

This print is in generally good to very good condition. There are several scattered deposits of retouching and a few matte deposits, possibly foxing, that are visible under raking light. There is a short crease along the left edge that appears to break the emulsion. In raking light, a few shiny linear marks are visibly, likely glass offsetting. There is the slightest silvering at the periphery of the image. The reverse of the mount is unevenly yellowed and there are a few faint, scattered rust-colored deposits, possibly foxing.
