Condition

This photograph is in generally very good condition. Upon close examination, the following are visible: scattered small soft and sharp creases, some of which may break the emulsion; tiny deposits of original retouching and impressions; and a tiny circular glossy deposit in the lower left quadrant. The margin edges are rubbed overall with a few losses, a 1/4-inch tear in the upper margin, and a 1-1/2-inch sharp crease across the lower left corner. There is a small brown deposit of indeterminate nature below the signature. There is a small abrasion on the reverse of the photograph and the upper edge is faintly yellowed. The following are written in an unidentified hand: '19' (circled) in ink; 'RF-1412/YAJIMA'; and 'Cut A P175 Down (?) Photo.'
