- Paire de chandeliers à deux lumières en argent, laque, verre et bakélite signés Cartier par Robert Linzeler pour Cartier, Paris, vers 1930

sur une base ovale moulurée de canaux, le fût en onyx et verre taillé surmonté d'un cabochon imitant le corail, gravés à chaque extrémité du pied CARTIER / MADE IN FRANCE
Condition
In overall good condition. Usual dents and scratches ; some dents on one arm, two tiny holes on one base. Bases originally pierced for electricity. One small dent on laquered wood angle. One nozzle with 3 small dents on the border. One rectangular transluscent plaque slightly wobbling.
Maker's and standard mark 950 on detachable nozzles, sockets and stem upper parts, each signed CARTIER on one foot side and MADE IN FRANCE on the other foot side.

Catalogue Note
Le haut des binets et les bobèches sont insculpés du poinçon RL couronné au-dessus de 950M. dans un poinçon obus, pour Robert Linzeler, à l'exportation. La mention Made in France était essentiellement utilisée par Cartier pour les pièces destinées au marché américain. Robert Linzeler a été un des fournisseurs de Cartier pendant de nombreuses années. Lors de ses difficultés financières, Cartier a peu à peu aidé Linzeler et a, par exemple, racheté son hôtel particulier de la rue d'Argenson. En 1932, Cartier reprend entièrement la maison Linzeler mais conserve son poinçon. Linzeler meurt en 1941. Cartier abandonne le poinçon de Linzeler en 1949.
