Condition

The panel is uncradled and stable. It is in overall good condition with its impasto well preserved, specifically in the whites. What appears to be three minor, pin dot dents are at the bottom right corner of the panel. These might have some associated loss, but it is barely visible. Inspection under UV shows some scattered spots of retouches in the shadows of the clouds. A small spec which could have been an old loss fluoresces with the UV on the far right corner of the lower cloud, though this is barely visible to the naked eye. The work can hang in its present state and is offered in a ribbed frame painted a light gold.
