Condition
The panel is flat and uncradled. It has been beveled on 4 sides. The paint surface is clean, but discoloured from the varnish. Ultra violet inspection identifies an uneven discoloured varnish, and some minor retouching in the sitter's clothing and around the book on the table. The work is offered in a carved and moulded gilt wood frame.
