Condition
This painting is in overall good condition. The canvas has a recent, rather firm relining. The paint surface is clean and the varnish appears clear and even, and rather matte. There is a fine network of craquelure throughout, most noticeable in the yellow of the background. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals meticulous scattered spot retouching to reduce the appearance of this craquelure, largely found lower left, but much more scarce in the rest of the painting. Offered in a plain wood frame in good condition.
